Tubular is the tubular tyre designed for high pressure up to 16 bar and provides excellent rolling performance as a result. In use the profile of the four spokes develop similar characteristics to that of a disc wheel, i.e. a light sail effect occurs under side wind conditions – and with it propulsion. The wave-shaped grooves under the carbon braking surface simultaneously provide for surface pressure and a propulsion effect (comparable to the surface of a golf ball). With features like these, active concentrated riding is essential.
Braking is done on carbon. The carbon braking surface of MARK1 TT Tubular was developed for standard brake pads, special carbon brake pads are neither recommended nor are they required. The patented braking surface guarantees smooth and safe braking even in wet weather conditions.
